Your privacy matters. This policy explains what data we collect through this website, how we use it, and your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What we collect
This site is essentially informational: it creates no accounts and collects no browsing data for advertising.
If you fill in the contact form, we collect what you provide: your name, email and message (required) and, optionally, your phone number and indicative budget.
How and why we use it
We use this data to respond to your enquiry and to follow up with you.
Where your enquiry concerns a service you may go on to engage us for, the processing is necessary in order to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract — Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Otherwise, for example a general information request, we rely on our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us — Article 6(1)(f).
The box you tick on the form confirms that you have read this policy; it is not in itself the basis for the processing.
Who we share it with
The site is hosted on Netlify, which receives the form submission and forwards it to us by email, acting as our processor. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing.
If you contact us directly by email or WhatsApp, your data is handled on those platforms under their own policies.
How long we keep it
Contact details from an enquiry are kept only for as long as needed to respond, to follow up on that enquiry, and for legitimate business purposes.
Client and transaction records may need to be kept for longer, in order to meet applicable legal, contractual, tax, accounting, regulatory or anti-money-laundering obligations.
Cookies
We use no tracking, advertising or analytics cookies. The site stores only one functional preference in your browser — your chosen language (PT/EN) — which does not identify you and is not shared. That's why there's no cookie banner.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, erase or restrict the processing of your data, to object to it, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, contact us at hello@medeirosrealestate.com.
These rights, erasure included, are subject to the legal retention requirements that apply to us and to the other exceptions provided for by law.
Complaints
If you believe your data is not handled lawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), the Portuguese supervisory authority.
